Kerchief "Vybiyka" in milky white colour in natural silk
An accessory in universal colors with a print inspired by tradition, created using the technique of block printing — a method of applying patterns to fabric using carved forms. In the 15th century, the city of Krolevets in Sumy region was considered the center of block printing art. The technique involved soaking wooden boards or stamps in dye and making prints on fabric. Each pattern is handmade, from creating the form for the stamp to applying the design to the fabric.
"The design is based on traditional Ukrainian floral patterns created using the block printing technique: stems with leaves, flowers, grape clusters, and birds," says the print's creator. It is complemented by a stylized coat of arms as a reminder of home.
