The print is created using vybyika, a centuries-old technique of printing patterns onto fabric with carved wooden blocks.
In the 15th century, the town of Krolevets in the Sumy region was a well-known center of this traditional craft.
Artisans would dip carved wooden plates or stamps into dye and press them onto cloth — a fully handmade process, with care in every detail.

“The core of the design is made up of traditional Ukrainian plant-based motifs created using the vybyika technique: stems with leaves, flowers, grape clusters, birds,” explains the author of the print.
A stylized coat of arms completes the composition — a gentle reminder of home, where the light always lives.
