In the 15th century, the town of Krolevets in the Sumy region was a celebrated center of this craft.
Artisans would dip carved wooden plates or stamps into dye and press them onto fabric — by hand, with precision and reverence for every line.

“The foundation of the design is traditional Ukrainian botanical ornaments made using the vybyika technique: stems with leaves, flowers, grape clusters, birds,” explains the print’s author.
A stylized coat of arms completes the composition — a warm reminder of home, where the light always lives.
