Men’s “Ruthenia” T-shirt in black

The T-shirt features the Ukrainian alphabet in the Ruthenia typeface, used in Ukraine before Peter I’s graphic reforms of 1710, when the authentic Ukrainian Cyrillic was replaced by a foreign “civil” script.

This historic writing style was revived by calligrapher Vasyl Chebanyk, drawing on Cossack cursive scripts and the graphic traditions of Kyivan Rus (Ruthenia).

Below the alphabet is a raised embroidery reading “LANGUAGE” as a symbol of memory and awareness of the origins of our writing.
